The IT Crowd: favorite discovered show this summer. Found it on Netflix streaming, didn’t even like it at first but it’s soo funny and charming. You may recognize Moss (afro) as Saboo from Mighty Boosh. “You know nothing of the crunch.” Noel Fielding also makes appearances as Richmond, the Cradle of Filth loving goth.
My one and only issue with this show is that there are only 6 half hour episodes per season. What? How do they get away with that? England is weird.
God! I envy people who automatically get up early. I can’t quite figure it out, because it’s a battle for me every morning. So I envy early risers, and I envy people who can speak another language, so they can more readily talk about other people while they’re standing right next to them. I could go on. I envy people who can jog, and I think these might be the same people who are early risers and speak French, but they get up and run and sweat, and then just go about their day. It’s shocking to me. I find that fantastic.”
Season 3 on Sunday! I love this show so very much. Take a video tour of the costume shop. I found this less subdued, less classy, but no less awesome dress for $5 last week.
I’m almost finished with the first season of Breaking Bad (all 7 episodes… why is it short?) and I must recommend it. The level of crap this man has to deal with is almost too hard to watch, but that makes the breaking bad so satisfying. The main character, Walter White is a middle aged high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. Given only a year or two to live, with a baby on the way, he decides to cook crystal meth to make money for his family.
Dr. House > Horatio Caine
and I don’t know if I even like House! (I do know I like his limp.)
I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of ghosts scratching the walls in my room and haunting me. I got up to investigate and found Seven stuck in the dresser. She had collapsed the drawer she was sleeping in trying to get out (Ikea, hmmph) so I had to break off her legs and tail to save her. TORSO CAT!
Today Mike came with me to spinning class to confirm how painful and horrible it is. Verified – It’s hard! And we did the beginner half hour class! I wonder if it is even any better for you than a treadmill.
I’m going to assume most everyone has heard of Randy Constan – internet Peter Pan, he is totally famous. I’ve been looking in on his website every now and then for years. He can sew his own tights! Having only seen his website and photos, I had a certain perception of how he would be (high pitched voice maybe?, vacant, somewhat detached from realty, but still endearing!)… and he’s not! Mike found this video interview with him – totally not what either of us expected. Love him! See what I mean –
Bathtime Planetarium – I preface with this is Japanese and I can’t have it, you can’t have it either. Can be aimed up or down into the water, doubles as a sealife/aquarium projector. Via a new favorite blog.
