For Politeness Sake!

Magical Creatures

Here is Seven hanging with the latest addition to my room. I have Ginny to thank for pretty much everything on my walls. Coming soon: boring pictures of my fancy new mattress.

Simplify Media

RIP Muxtape

Looks as if Muxtape is over and done, here is something new! Simplify Media is an application that allows up to 30 friends streaming access to your Itunes, including playlists. There aren’t a whole lot of options, you share the whole library or nothing at all. My username is aliciatheduffhome if you’d like to try it out and add me.

No One Does It Like You

This band I don’t know much about, Department of Eagles had this song out last year that i loved. Apparently it was just a demo! Below is the official album version as well as the title track of their new album, In Ear Park. They say it’s members of Grizzly Bear, so maybe I ought to listen to that too.

Ginny’s House

Ginny had her 2nd annual “party in August”… for lack of a better name. There were comfy lounge chairs from Ollie’s, a questionable punch, Old Cubans, high wasted pants, cupcakes and appearances made by rare and magical creatures… Special K as well as Fourness and Duffy sisters! Ginny is a wonderful and gracious host, even if she did pass out receiving advice from her guests. This mess needs a damn name for ‘09!

A Note

In the wee hours of Sunday morning I deleted all the comments ever on accident. I marked them all as spam and they dissapeared. I don’t think the blog reports back spammers (my friends) to an sort of service.Drink + laptop=no. I apologize for the lack of action around here… it’s been replaced with live action.

Also, I still love the Selby.

Oasis

The new Oasis single was released last week – personally I don’t know, I like the cover art! It did cause me to break out my old Oasis jams. <3 Definitely Maybe. In other 90s Brit news The Verve have a new album out (not yet, but if you follow the link…) called Forth.

Quietly wait for the catastrophe of your personality to seem beautiful again, and interesting, and modern.

Tell that punk to find a cardboard box, put all his things in it and get out of here.
