An Update

This poster for Mister Lonely (4/30 Limited Release) is gorgeous.

I’ve been keeping pretty busy with real work and made up work recently so I don’t have anything fun to report. I bought a new camera so (maybe) this blog will get interesting in the near future. Today I was pulled over for the first time in years, thankfully the officer was really nice and let me go. Quite the break – the city and my insurance company would have taken all of my bush money!

At some point I created a point system, like breaking my life down into categories, and then in each category trying to achieve certain things in a week’s time. Every Sunday night I would tally up what I had achieved, for a total possible of 35 points. It was mind, body, career, personal management/ relationship contribution. It was pretty funny. It was really ambitious in retrospect. The stuff I set out to do each week was pretty much impossible.

To Do

This post was going to be a list of things to do with my new and different lonely life. I couldn’t come up with enough things worth talking about, so this post turned into another “All the things I’d like to share with you”…

The Playlist’s Soundtrack Series: “Soundtracks” inspired by movie directors.
Postcards from Your Mother: Cute and funny (love moms)
Design Barcode: “Big Ideas are Small” – this Japanese firm designs down to the barcode.
Hot Lava in NY Mag?: Well, nymag.com.
A new Winston video.

For the record, this is what I plan to do with my time: Finish all the projects I’ve promised to friends. Read some books. Paste Rocky Balboa’s face onto the body of H.W. Plainview (followed with a venn diagram of similarities and differences: deaf, bastard from a basket, blank stare). Do good work at my new job (and try not to talk so much). Make local friends!
