Snow Day
This weekend was amazing. I didn’t get to do anything I had planned – Of Montreal, Ginny, A-C, Annie, Ikea. BUT it was not for nothing, it snowed all day Saturday! Mike and I took a walk to get coffee, watched Blade Runner, a No Reservations marathon and Mighty Boosh. It was even prettier this morning. Today I put the kitties in the snow and they did not mind. I put some more photos on flickr.
oh yea, my new boots, which i thought we just for fashion, were so functional. no wet feet/pants, snow didn’t even stick to them. i felt like santa claus.

Busy Busy

Been busy lately but I have two things to share.
I made this coffeecake tonight! FROM SCRATCH! first time! I used the Cinnamon Coffee Cake recipe from I Like You. I am saving it for tomorrow, hopefully it doesn’t taste gross. If people are willing to eat this I want to make something else.
I saw this pretty bird near Mike’s house. We stopped for a while, admired, photographed… and then he crapped/peed everywhere.

Movies Moveees

Sherlock Holmes was real good. I don’t know anything about the Sherlock Holmes stories, but I thought the movie was really fun and well done – the living dead, 19th century science!

I’d been looking forward to Daybreakers for a while. These vampires, when starved, are essentially zombies! Best of both worlds, stylish and gross. Although I could do without the worthless viral marketing sites..

This is an old one we got on Netflix, The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters was awesome! What an underdog story, and what a slimeball Billy Mitchell is (the mullet to your right, above).

Winter
I’m so tired of the cold, but sometimes it is pretty! Mostly it’s not. (this is the walk up to my office, always pretty)

Happy New Year

I had a great Christmas and New Years with Mike and family. We spent Christmas at my parent’s house by the glow of the firepace dvd. Seven got a collar, Rocky got glue. Flza gave me an awesome sweatshirt I’ve been trying to steal from him for years. That weekend Mike and I went to the country to see his sister, my first time meeting her. She was funny and baaaaaaaad, I held a pretty chicken and we slept in a play room – it was fun.
Sometime around Christmas it snowed all over Williamsburg (the sky was pink!) and Kelly and Richard were there. We had tasty beer and food at the Green Leafe, possibly the only thing I like about Williamsburg.
2009 was pretty eventful for me and mostly good. I had a lot of opportunities, dresses and party times. This year I hope to learn stuff, be a good lady friend, a good Duffy, and more specifically spend more time with Big Face (please annie?). I’ve given up on running and sewing.
I started making a year end list of TLC documentaries you may have missed out on, but I only have two: Shiloh: Mermaid Girl and Flo & Kay: Twin Savants.

Decorated

I tried to make my apartment festive for the holidays. Mike even let me decorate him (no face santa claus).
